The Yip's Children's Choral and Performing Arts Centre (YCCPAC) was founded in 1983 by Dr. Yip Wai Hong and his colleagues. We offer a variety of performing arts programs to promote formal education in music and arts for children aged eighteen months to seventeen years. The four main areas of studies – Pre-School Music Course, Choir, Musical Theater and Instrumental Playing meet the needs of children with different interests and abilities. The departments both focus on their own areas of training, and work interdepartmentally to provide performance opportunities.

The Pre-School Music Course puts Dr. Yip's philosophy, “Learning is playing, playing is learning”, into practice. Through years of development and proven effectiveness, our well-structured and well-organized system teaches children classical music as well as stimulates their intellectual development.

The full potentials of our members in the Choral, Musical Theater and Instrumental Departments are realized through regular performances.

Dr. Yip firmly believes that there is a strong co-relation between singing and instrumental playing. Children will benefit more if they engage in both areas.

YCCPAC has been promoting musical theatre performance actively in recent years. Ms Sincere Yip, Associate Music Director of YCCPAC, established Yip's Children's Musical Theater (YCMT) in 2001. It provides long-term training in singing, dance and drama. Members can thus build a strong music foundation in a few years. YCMT stages and produces full-length musical theater productions every year.

Regular live performances are essential in the course of music learning. Not only does it sharpen one's musicality, but it also helps build one's confidence, self-composure and self-esteem.
